Brenda started working at AHOD in 1992 and is one of the first original employees. She lives in Falls Creek with her husband, Paxton, two daughters, Kayla and Ali, and five pets. Her cat named Mimzy, and 3 dogs, Skippy, Russel, and Jake are all rescues. Her newest addition is her grandson, Grayson. Brenda enjoys reading, gardening, walking her dogs, and spending time with her family.
Kris was born in South Bend, Indiana and grew up in Culver, Indiana. She began working at AHOD in April of 1996. Kris currently resides in Treasure Lake with her boyfriend Dave. They have three rescue pets, kitties Mina Moo and Tilly Lou, and a dog, Pippy Sue. Kris has volunteered at the Reitz Theatre since moving here in 1996 and has been involved with many productions. In her free time she enjoys making jewelry, listening to music, cooking and spending time with her fur family.
Charlie was born and raised in Punxsutawney, PA and graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 2000. He began working at the Animal Hospital of DuBois in November of 2003 and is currently the office manager. He is married to Angela and they have two wonderful children, Elizabeth and Olivia. Charlie resides in DuBois with his rescued pets, Dudley, a boxer mix and Cuddles a kitty that lost the tips of her ears and tail due to frostbite. He enjoys spending time with his family, and outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, backpacking, geocaching and searching for the elusive sasquatch.
Angela was born and raised in DuBois, PA, graduated from DuBois Area HS in 1998, and from Penn State University in 2008. She started working at AHOD in September of 2007. Angela is married to Charlie and has 2 children, Elizabeth and Olivia. She lives in DuBois with her rescue pets Dudley, a Boxer mix and Cuddles, a rescue kitty. Angela enjoys spending time with her family, shopping, and vacationing at the beach.
Erica was born and raised in DuBois, PA. She graduated from DuBois Area High School in 2012 and joined our team in February of 2015. Erica is living in DuBois with husband Matt and her fur baby, Piper. In her free time Erica enjoys walking her dog, camping, and spending time with her family.
Adam was born in Punxsutawney, PA, but currently lives in DuBois with his wife Brooke and two children, Jaelin and Ian. After being a mechanic for almost 14 years, he decided a change was needed. He is often referred to as “The Crazy Cat Guy” for his love of cats. He currently has 4, Colby Jack, Francis and Oliver, and Nala. Though animals are his new passion, he still enjoys “turning wrenches," as well as, camping, comics, and building upon his useful and “pointless” knowledge.
Shannon is from Reynoldsville, PA where she lives with her husband Ricky, two dogs - Ayda and Rocky and two cats, Putter and Sprout! Shannon graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 2011 and then went to the Vet Tech Institute (VTI) in Pittsburgh and got an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology and graduated in 2013. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, specifically at her Grandpa's woods, and going fly fishing and hiking with her husband in the wild streams of PA!
Susie moved to DuBois in March 2019 where she lives with her boyfriend Joe, their son Cameron and their 2 Pitbulls, Amelia and Jeb. Jeb came in to AHOD as a stray hit by car. Susie graduated in 2018 with an Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA. She started at AHOD in October 2019. In her free time Susie enjoys spending time with her family, baking and being outdoors with her dogs.
Marissa has been part of the Animal Hospital since December 2020. She is a graduate of DuBois Area High School. She currently lives in DuBois with her rescue Pitbull, Capone. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends, riding horses, dirt bikes, and vacationing in the OBX with her family.
Jacob has been part of team AHOD since July of 2021. He is a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School, and went on to attend VTI in Pittsburgh where he obtained his Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. He currently lives in Reynoldsville with a cat (Tigger) and a dog (Remmington). In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing and working on the farm.
Shelly has been part of the Animal Hospital of DuBois since November 2020.
